Worrying – it’s something we all do, probably every day, some of us more than others. That’s just the way it is. BUT – so much of our worrying is unnecessary. I’ve written before about the pneumonic FEAR:
False
Expectations
Appearing
Real
It’s so true and a really useful phrase to remember when you are in unknown or unwanted territory. The other day I was watching that wonderful film with my children, “Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them”. Without doubt, my favourite lines from this film are:
“Jacob: Tell me — has anyone ever believed you when you told them not to worry?
Newt: My philosophy is that worrying means you suffer twice.”
Oh, how true! Are YOU suffering because too many parts of your life are causing you to worry? Do you recognise either FEAR or Newt’s philosophy in your life? Why not take a step back and have a look at your life overall. What’s going on? What are you trying to do? What’s the good and what’s the bad in your life? What’s causing you more worry than is necessary and are you feeding that worry or are you in control?
Want some help looking at all that? One life coaching session can help you take a speedy but supportive overview of what is going on in YOUR world and with my support you can make really simple but effective changes to put things back into a better perspective.
